02 How it works
How to test a drink
for drugs.
DrinkCheck is a single-use test strip, a drink tester for your pocket: two drops of your drink on the strip, wait 15 seconds, then check for a colour change. It screens for 6+ substances, with no app and no battery.
Apply two drops
Open the pouch just before testing. Place one drop of your drink on the pink and one on the yellow reaction pad (two drops in total). Do not dip the whole strip in.
Wait 15 seconds
Let the strip react for a full 15 seconds before you read the result.
Read the colour
Compare the reaction pads with the guide on the strip. Colour change: a substance was detected, so stop drinking and get help. No change: nothing detected.
Colour change = substance detected. Do not drink. No colour change = nothing detected.
What a drink test can't tell you
- It screens for 6+ substances, including GHB, ketamine, scopolamine, cocaine, methamphetamine and amphetamine.
- A negative result does not mean the drink is safe. If something feels off, trust your instincts.
- Which drinks to test: follow the notes in the package leaflet.
- One strip, one drink. It tests a drink, not a person: it cannot tell whether someone has already been drugged.
