Suspect spiking? Get help first
Stop drinking. Find someone you trust and alert venue staff; seek medical help if you feel unwell. Do not wait for a drink test. This guidance draws on Gloucestershire Hospitals’ patient information. In a US emergency, call 911; elsewhere use the local emergency number.

Before using a test
Follow the instructions supplied with your strip: place one drop of the drink on the pink and one on the yellow reaction pad (two drops in total), wait about 15 seconds and compare the pads with the guide on the strip. If the instructions are missing or unclear, contact us before use. Do not infer suitable beverages, storage requirements or expiry from general magazine articles.
What a drink test cannot establish
A negative DrinkCheck result does not guarantee that a drink is safe. See North Tees and Hartlepool NHS for general guidance on test limits; it does not evaluate DrinkCheck.
A beverage test cannot diagnose a person. Seek professional support for symptoms or a possible assault. How a drink test differs from a urine or blood test at a hospital is explained in roofie test: testing your drink vs. a medical test. A completed professional review of this page is not yet documented; source checks do not replace it.
Updated September 29, 2026: the product details on this page now follow DrinkCheck’s confirmed validation, in the same wording as the product page.
Updated October 5, 2026: the application now names one drop on each reaction pad, and the test-limit wording is aligned with the how-it-works page.
